Influenza A(H1N1)

Influenza A(H1N1), sometimes referred to as Swine Flu, could be of particular concern for HIV-positive patients. Because immune-compromised persons, including those with HIV, can experience more severe complications from seasonal flu, public health officials have cautioned the same may be true with H1N1. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) and the World Health Organization (WHO) have both come out with guidelines addressing the possible implications of H1N1 for HIV-positive patients.
